Founder & Managing Director
Kamben Padayachy established West Rock Consulting following an exceptional career spanning over 25 years in international banking and corporate leadership. His professional journey includes serving as Deputy CEO and founding executive of AfrAsia Bank, where he oversaw growth from a MUR 250m capital base to MUR 5bn within eight years. Previously, he held senior positions at Barclays Bank, Standard Bank, and BNP Paribas, developing extensive expertise in corporate banking, treasury operations, and international financial structuring.
As Group Managing Director of Gamma Civic Ltd (listed on the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius), Ben directed operations across diverse sectors including construction, building materials, cement manufacturing, national lottery, hospitality, and property development. His leadership extended to board responsibilities for multiple subsidiaries and oversight of group compliance and consolidated financial reporting.
Mr. Padayachy’s academic credentials include a Maîtrise in Applied Economics with specialization in Monetary Economics and Banking from Université de Paris Dauphine, complemented by a Post-Graduate Degree in Banking and Finance from Université de Rennes. His professional influence extends beyond West Rock Consulting through strategic board appointments at leading financial institutions including First Equity Holdings (Africa), LCF Securities Ltd, and previously as Chairman of AXIS Fiduciary Ltd and Bravura Holdings Limited.
